Once you've added a farm to YaraPlus, you can then add fields to it. The steps below explain how to add one or more fields at once in the YaraPlus web app. Mobile steps
Note:
- You can save time by choosing to import your fields from Atfarm, John Deere Operations Center™ or other sources.
- Grassland: Some regions are not yet supported by YaraPlus GrassN. Check supported regions
Add your fields as shown in this video or follow the instructions below.
1) Locate field
- Click on the Farm dropdown in the header, then select Manage farms.
- Select the desired farm in the farm overview.
- Click Add Fields.
- The field creation page opens.
- If necessary, switch farms using the dropdown at the top. Farms can't be switched past this point.

Locate the field on the map*:
- Search by town, postal code, or address.
- Click the pin icon to find your current location.
- Move and zoom the map: Drag with your mouse, scroll, or use the + / - buttons.
- Field boundaries will be automatically detected and highlighted.
*The map is provided by Mapbox. Their imagery is updated every few years. Land use changes over time, and not all fields are up to date from any mapping provider. Nevertheless, you can still create the field for accurate recommendations.
2) Select or draw field
Once you've located your field on the map, you can either select the field or draw the boundary.
Select field
- Click Select at the bottom of the map.
- Click on one or more detected fields to select them.
- If necessary, click the bin icon to remove a field.
- If necessary, click the pen icon to modify a field. Once done, click Update.
- Rename a field by entering a new name in the input field.
- Edit the boundary using the tools below the map:
- Field border: Drag boundary points to adjust.
- Exclude area: Draw an inner border to exclude non-productive areas (e.g., trees, lagoons). Trace the field boundary by clicking points on the map, then click on the starting point to complete the shape.
- Delete point: Click on a boundary point to remove it.
- Reset: Discard all changes.
- Click Save to confirm.
Draw field
- Click Draw at the bottom of the map.
- Draw the boundary using the tools below the map:
- Field border: Trace the field boundary by clicking points on the map, then click on the starting point to complete the shape. Drag points to adjust.
- Exclude area: Draw an inner border to exclude non-productive areas (e.g., trees, lagoons). Trace the field boundary by clicking points on the map, then click on the starting point to complete.
- Delete point: Click on a boundary point to remove it.
- Reset: Discard all changes.
- Click Save drawing in the top right corner to save your edits.
- If necessary, click the bin icon to remove a field.
- If necessary, click the pen icon to rename a field or adjust its boundary. Once done, click Update.
- If necessary, add another field to the selection by repeating these steps.
- Click Save to confirm.
3) Add crops
Adding crop types ensures YaraPlus provides accurate recommendations tailored to your crops. You don't need to do this right away, click Finish later to add crops later.
- Tick the box next to one or more fields of the same crop type to select them.
- Select the crop type and production goal from the dropdowns.
- Select the seeding date from the date selector.
- Only dates without crop records for the new seeding date can be selected.
- The seeding date can be in the past or in the future.
- If unsure, the month is enough to give a recommendation.
- Click Save selected fields to confirm.
- If necessary, repeat these steps for other fields.
- Once you've completed all fields, click Done to complete the process.
- You don't have to complete this right away, click Finish later to add crops later.
All your fields can be found on the farm page. You can now add further field details in YaraPlus Atfarm and YaraPlus GrassN, including:
- Target yield
- Legal limits
- Soil profile
