Atfarm was discontinued on 12 January 2026. Depending on whether you exported your fields before the shutdown, you can either request a field migration or import your fields to YaraPlus yourself.
Important: The options described in this article transfer your fields, but not previous recommendations or planning data from Atfarm. The following content wasn't transferred to YaraPlus:
- Variable-rate application maps
- Fertilisation plans
- Photo analysis results
- N-Tester recommendations
If you didn't export this content from Atfarm before 12 January 2026, it can no longer be recovered. In YaraPlus, you can create new variable N-rate application maps and fertilisation plans, and receive new photo analysis results and N-Tester recommendations.
Choose the option that applies to you
- I didn't export my fields before 12 January 2026 → Request a field migration – we'll handle it for you
- I already exported my fields from Atfarm → Import the exported file into YaraPlus yourself
Request a field migration if you didn't export your fields
If you didn't export your fields before 12 January 2026, you can ask us to migrate them to YaraPlus. Our team will then export the field boundaries from your old Atfarm account and import them into your YaraPlus account.
Before submitting your request, make sure that:
- You already have a YaraPlus account
- You signed up for YaraPlus using the same email address you used for Atfarm
Once you've submitted your request, our team will take care of the migration. You'll receive an email as soon as the fields have been added to your YaraPlus account.
Import exported fields yourself
If you exported your fields from Atfarm before 12 January 2026, you can import the exported file into YaraPlus yourself.
File requirements
- Only ZIP (.zip) or KML (.kml) files can be uploaded
- A Shapefile in ZIP format must contain the following components:: .shp, .shx, .dbf and .prj
- Only one ZIP or KML file can be uploaded at a time
- The maximum upload size is 5 MB
- Fields must have clearly defined boundaries and coordinates
- Fields must be located in the same country as the selected farm in YaraPlus
- Only fields that do not yet exist in YaraPlus will be imported
Import exported file
-
Log in to the YaraPlus web app using a desktop browser.
- Note: Import is only available in the web app, not in the mobile app.
- Click on the Farm dropdown in the header, then select Import.
- Select Other portals and sources as the source and click Continue.
- Select the farm to add the fields to from the dropdown at the top. You can't change the farm after this point in the import.
- If your YaraPlus account does not yet contain any farms, the imported fields will be added to a farm called Farm 01 that is created automatically. You can rename this farm later.
- Click Upload file and select the file from your computer. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file into the upload area.
- Wait until the file has finished uploading and your imported fields are displayed.
- Larger imports may take longer.
- Click Continue to crops.
- Check that the crop for each imported field is correct. If not, uncheck the box next to the relevant field and add the crop later.
- Click Confirm to add the crops to the selected fields.
After importing, you'll find all the fields on the farm page. You can then rename fields, add crop types, adjust the seeding date and edit field boundaries if necessary.
Fix import errors
If the upload fails or not all fields are imported, it's usually due to file formatting issues or missing field data.
File can't be uploaded
If the file doesn't upload:
- Check that the file meets the file requirements.
- Try uploading the file again.
- If the issue persists, please contact our support team and share the file you're trying to upload.
Some fields weren't imported
If the file was uploaded successfully but some fields are missing, this may be because:
- Boundary data or coordinates are missing
- Fields already exist in your YaraPlus account
- Fields are located in a different country from the selected farm
