This guide explains how biomass map syncing works between YaraPlus Atfarm and John Deere Operations Center™, how to manage it, and what to do if syncing doesn't work as expected.
With this feature, you can upload YaraPlus Atfarm biomass maps and monitor crop growth using satellite-based biomass maps directly in John Deere Operations Center™.
Before you start
- The integration can only be managed via the YaraPlus web app, not the mobile app
- You must connect YaraPlus to John Deere Operations Center™
- You must import your farms and fields and assign crop types
How syncing works
- Sync is disabled by default. After connecting John Deere Operations Center™, importing your fields and assigning crop information, you must turn on biomass map sync manually in the integration settings.
- Biomass maps are exported twice per week at midnight on Tuesdays and Fridays, depending on satellite data availability.
- Sync applies to all imported farms and fields with crop info (no per-field setup)
- Each field must have a current crop assigned and be in an active growing period
- If the crop isn't updated for more than one year, syncing stops automatically
- Manual sync isn't available
- Biomass maps sync with the Field Analyzer™ in John Deere Operations Center™
To check the sync status:
- Open a field in YaraPlus Atfarm.
- Click the John Deere Operations Center™ icon in the top right.
- Check when the field was last synced.
Turn sync on or off
You can turn biomass map syncing on or off at any time.
- Click the profile icon in the top right and select Integrations.
- Find YaraPlus biomass maps sync with field analyser section.
- Use Turn on or Turn off to manage biomass map syncing.
- For turning off, confirm in the pop-up:
- Sync will be turned off for all fields.
- You can turn it back on anytime.
- Already synced biomass maps will remain in John Deere Operations Center™.
To turn syncing back on, use the same section in the integration settings.
Troubleshooting
Biomass maps are not synced
Biomass map sync is turned on in the integration settings. If biomass maps aren't visible in John Deere Operations Center™, check the following in YaraPlus:
- A crop is assigned to the field
- The crop is still current
- Sync is turned on
If maps are still missing, contact John Deere™ support. YaraPlus has no visibility of errors from the John Deere Operations Center™ side.
You see a sync error message
If you see the message We weren't able to sync the biomass maps of this field, follow the guidance shown in the error note.
Try again later
If no action button is shown, the problem is temporary.
- The system will try again automatically during the next scheduled sync
- Scheduled syncs run Tuesdays and Fridays at midnight
- No action is needed – please check again later
Add a current crop
If the field has no crop or the crop isn't in an active growing period, syncing can't continue.
- Add a current crop
- Click Add crop in the error note, then add a crop type
Update an outdated crop
If the crop isn't up to date, syncing can't continue.
- This can happen if the crop hasn't been updated for more than one year
- End the current crop period and start a new one
- Click End crop in the error note, end the crop, then add a new crop to start a new period
