In YaraPlus, you can create your own custom fertiliser if the product you need isn't available in the fertiliser list.
This feature is available in YaraPlus Atfarm and in YaraPlus GrassN.
You can use custom fertilisers in:
- Fertilisation applications (Atfarm)
- Variable-rate application maps (Atfarm)
- Fertilisation activities (GrassN)
Before you start
Before creating a custom fertiliser, make sure that:
- You know whether the fertiliser is mineral or organic
- You know the nutrient composition
- You have values like density or the working coefficient of nitrogen (if required)
Accurate values ensure that nutrient calculations in your fertilisation applications are correct.
Quick start (5 steps)
- Atfarm: Go to YaraPlus > Atfarm > Fertilisers > Create fertiliser
- GrassN: Go to YaraPlus > GrassN > Custom fertilisers > Add new
- Enter the fertiliser type, name and nutrient composition
- Review optional values such as density
- Click Save
Step-by-step
YaraPlus Atfarm and YaraPlus GrassN use the same form to create a custom fertiliser. Only the navigation differs.
Follow the steps below to create a custom fertiliser.
- Open the fertiliser form
- Enter fertiliser details
- Define nitrogen availability (organic fertilisers only)
- Save fertiliser
1) Open the fertiliser form
Choose where you want to create the fertiliser:
Atfarm
- Open YaraPlus Atfarm:
- Web app: Hover over the sidebar to expand the menu and select Atfarm.
- Mobile app: Tap Discover in the bottom bar, then select Open Atfarm.
- Go to Fertilisers.
- Click Create fertiliser.
GrassN
- Open YaraPlus GrassN:
- Web app: Hover over the sidebar to expand the menu and select GrassN.
- Mobile app: Tap Discover in the bottom bar, then select Open GrassN.
- Go to Custom fertilisers.
- Click Add new.
The same fertiliser form opens in both solutions.
2) Enter fertiliser details
- Select whether the fertiliser is Mineral or Organic.
- Enter the fertiliser name.
- Select the form.
- Organic fertilisers:
- Liquid: slurry, digestate, waste water from animal housing, urine and liquid extracts
- Solid: solid, semi-solid, composted and pelleted
- Organic fertilisers:
- Enter or confirm the density.
- We've pre-filled this value using reference data.
- Enter the nutrient composition.
- The fertiliser must contain at least one nutrient.
- Values are defined in % (or kg/t for organic fertilisers).
- For organic fertilisers, the nutrient content is expressed on a fresh weight basis.
- Click Select more nutrients to add additional nutrients.
- Use Nitrogen forms to define nitrogen types if needed.
3) Define nitrogen availability (organic fertilisers only)
For organic fertilisers, define how much nitrogen is available to crops:
- Enter or confirm the agronomic working coefficient of nitrogen (%).
- Enter the legal working coefficient of nitrogen (%).
The working coefficient defines how much nitrogen becomes available during the growing season. The remaining nitrogen is not automatically carried over to the next season.
4) Save fertiliser
- (Optional) Select Add to favourites to make the fertiliser easier to find.
- Click Save.
The fertiliser is now available in the fertiliser list.
You can use it in:
- Fertilisation applications (Atfarm)
- Variable-rate application maps (Atfarm)
- Fertilisation activities (GrassN)
