You can use the N-Tester to measure cereals to plan second, third and protein dressings. You can determine the need for nitrogen fertilisation at different times through regular nitrogen monitoring, but you can also determine the effect of nitrogen applications already applied. The N-Tester helps you choose the optimum time and amount of fertiliser.
Available calibrations for crops, varieties and measurement methods vary by country and region. YaraPlus Atfarm's algorithm for nitrogen rate recommendations is calibrated by Yara agronomists. These agronomists are constantly conducting field trials and other research to add calculations for new varieties or update existing calculations based on changes in soil nutrition, weather or other factors that affect how crops use nutrients.
